The Oscars 2023 ceremony took place on March 12, concluding the 2023 award season with a night of cinematic enchantment. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and broadcasted live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, the event recognized the most revolutionary films of the year, along with the talented individuals behind them.

In the Best Picture category, All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fabelmans, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness, and Women Talking were all contenders for the trophy.

Furthermore, a number of well-known figures received their first Academy Award nominations, including Rihanna for her song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Brian Tyree Henry from the Atlanta series for his role in Causeway, and veteran actor Brendan Fraser for his critically acclaimed performance in The Whale.
