There was massive voter turnout in the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the election was shifted from Saturday to Sunday following shortage of ballot papers which sparked off a protest.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) subsequently postponed the election and pledged to provide adequate election materials.
At most of the polling units visited, voters turned up massively ahead of the 10.00 a.m. voting time, with the presence of security personnel before the arrival of INEC officials.
