Identify your polling units before election day, INEC tells voters

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has appealed to eligible voters to identify and confirm their various polling units ahead of the general election on February 25.

The commission said the call was necessary following reports from the recent mock accreditation exercise nationwide using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), where some voters turned up at the wrong polling units.

Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu stated this in his message to voters published by the commission on Friday.

Yakubu said the challenge of voters not knowing their polling units must be addressed so that it does not happen on election day.
