Four Nigerian men were arrested for overstaying their visas on the resort island of Phuket in Muang district.
Tourist police and immigration officers made the arrests in different locations in tambon Chalong and tambon Rawai. The four suspects had overstayed their visas for three to four years and were identified as Nah Kenneth Chibuzo (1,207 days overstayed), James Chinonyerem Onwumyirimmadu (1,469 days), Oliver Abazie Uchechukwu (1,221 days), and Michael Arinze Ejogu (1,236 days).
The arrests were made following reports from Phuket residents of suspicious behavior by the foreigners, who mostly lived in isolated houses and rarely went out.
Some Thai nationals served as brokers for them, arranging for their housing and food deliveries
