Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has said that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, will not win the February 25th presidential election.
In an interview with TVC News, El-Rufai dismissed the projections by ANAP Foundation’s poll and other opinion polls in favor of Obi, saying they were not conducted accurately and thus cannot be relied upon.
The governor claimed that one reliable poll showed the election to be a close contest between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) and that Obi’s Labour Party is relying on ethnicity and religious bigotry in their campaign, which will not lead to a win.
El-Rufai also criticized the methodology of the opinion polls, saying the sample size was too small to provide reliable results. He concluded that the election is between the APC and PDP and that Obi cannot win due to a lack of support in multiple states.
