Taking to his Instagram page, Lateef stated that at the onset of his career, many people told him that acting is not his calling and he would never be successful through acting.
According to him he sometimes trekked to movie location, washed his bosses cars in exchange for movie roles, and borrowed clothes to wear on movie set.
He added that he felt fulfilled when he started getting paid stipends for playing lead characters in movie. However his story is different now as he is successful and making it big in the movie industry.
