Iheanacho comes up clutch for Leicester City in the FA Cup again

Iheanacho has been the best player in the FA Cup in the last two years, and he continued with his brilliance at Walsall

Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to score the winner for Leicester City in their 1-0 victory at Walsall.

Leicester City traveled to the Bescot Stadium to take on Walsall in their round of 32 FA Cup tie. Foxes boss left Iheanacho on the bench and opted for Patson Daka instead.

The Foxes were the better side from the start, but they failed to score in the first half.

Youri Tielemans had an opportunity to put Leicester City in front from the spot in the 48th minute, but he fluffed his lines.

Iheanacho replaced Daka in the 63rd minute, and he was an instant impact. He received a pass in Walsall’s half and made a quick dash to the edge of their box and unleashed a powerful dipping shot that flew to the roof of the net.

His goal proved to be the decider for Leicester City as they claimed a 1-0 win to advance to the round of 16 of the FA Cup.

Since making his FA Cup debut in 2016, Iheanacho has scored 17 goals- the highest tally of any player in the competition.
