Some have even gone so far as to say that it is a religion, with its own set of beliefs and practices that are followed by millions of people.
If we were to take this analogy a step further and say that the Nigerian music industry is a religion, then the question becomes: who would be its prophet?
There are several contenders for this title. Some might argue that it is the legendary musicians of the past, such as Fela Kuti, who helped to lay the foundation for the industry and define its sound or the Fuji or Juju artistes.
