Tems, a numerous award-winning singer and performer who was also nominated for a Golden Globe, has now received further recognition for her significant contributions to music by being the first and only Nigerian artist to be nominated for an Oscar at the 2023 Academy Awards.
For her enormous contribution to the writing of “Lift Me Up” for the Marvel-produced Black Panther Wakanda Forever, Tems won an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song.
This nomination comes after the Golden Globe awards nomination in December 2022 and also the grammy awards 2023 nominations in November 2022.
