The NPD Group, an American market research company, most recent statistics have confirmed that people no longer like skinny jeans. The sale of skinny jeans experienced a decline in sales in 2021 when compared to pre-pandemic 2019, while straight fit, flare, and boot cut jeans saw a rise in demand.

Quartz suggests that the pandemic and the lockdown made people seek for more comfortable clothing and preferred to wear sizes bigger than them.
