A security man has been shot dead by unknown gunmen who attacked and burnt the office of Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC)office in Enugu.
The office located at Amechi Awkunanaw in the Enugu South Local Government Area of the state, and very close to the residence of former governor, Jim Nwobodo was attacked late Sunday night.
The attackers however razed the security house but could not gain access to the main building.
A statement on Monday, 16th January, by the INEC’s National Commissioner & Chairman,
Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, said that the incident occurred around 9.12pm on Sunday 15th January 2023.
