As the general elections draw nearer, chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Enugu state are at war over the alleged disappearance of a whopping sum of N1.3 billion meant to rally support for the party.

Yesterday, dozens of aggrieved party stalwarts led by Comrade Alphonsus Ude stormed the national secretariat of the party in Abuja urging Senator Abdullahi Adamu led national working committee (NWC) to wade into the matter.

Use pointed accusing fingers at the governorship candidate, Uche Nnaji and the chairman of the Enugu state chapter of the party, Ugochukwu Agballah over the alleged infraction.

Ude claimed that the duo misappropriated the sum of N283 million meant for the expression of interest and nomination forms to ensure that the party fields candidates for the governorship, and all the National Assembly and State Assembly seats in Enugu State to shore our fortunes and also ensure that the party secures at least 25 percent of votes cast in the 2023 presidential election in the State.
