Cash outside banks drop by N640m in one month

The currency outside the banking sector declined by 6.69 percent to N2.65 billion in November 2022 from N3.29 billion in October 2022, when the naira redesign was announced, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Between the end of October 2022 and the end of November, currency in circulation reduced by 3.95 percent from N3.29 billion to N3.16 billion.
