The Sokoto State Zonal Command of National Agency for Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on Wednesday empowered trafficked persons and survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) with sewing machines, hair drying machine and a trolley to enable them start up something towards self reliance.
Highlighting the essence of the exercise, the Public Relations Officer, of Sokoto NAPTIP Zonal Command, Hassantu Mikailu, admitted that their happiness goes beyond empowerment to ensuring that, a good number of these perpetrators are cooling off their feet in the various detentions.
