The Gombe State Sports Commission headed by Dr Larry Daniel Terry has received the National Sports Festival Torch of Unity in Gombe to mark the beginning of activities ahead of the event in Asaba Delta State.
At the Commission’s Headquarters, Mrs Zainab Ishaku, who represented the Commission’s Director said that Gombe State is fast becoming one of the most active and sports loving state and have always honored invitations to attend the National Sports fiesta.
“It’s lovely to say that Gombe State is a sporting state. Many thanks to our Executive Governor who have been supportive. I am sure he would have loved to have received this torch of unity himself but I will want to say a big welcome you to Gombe State, and I wish you safety while going to other states,” she concluded.
